Coaching Programmes

Our tailored coaching programmes offer you the full benefit of one-to-one coaching combined with small group workshops, high quality resources and a supportive cohort of peers with which to exchange ideas and experiences.

In 2022 Research Coach is offering two bespoke programmes for researchers and academics.

Flourish: Working well in academia programme

Boost: Career coaching programme

These programmes focus on popular coaching topics that our clients often wish to explore in their one-to-one coaching sessions. We believe there is strength in communities, so we have developed a series of workshops where you will join a small cohort of other researchers from different institutions with whom you can exchange ideas and experiences.

You also have the option to benefit from regular one-to-one coaching support from a professional coach who will support you each step of the way to help you to turn your learning in to practical actions.

Links to the workshop are coming soon. If you have any questions about the programmes please contact Jo.Collins@researchcoach.co.uk

In addition to our coaching programmes , we also support established teams through our team coaching programmes. See our team coaching page for further information.

Flourish: working well in academia programme

What does it mean to flourish in academia? What opportunities and challenges are that that impact on our wellbeing? This series of workshops explores how and where we can work and think differently in our academic lives. From dealing with ‘overwhelm’ to building confidence, these sessions will challenge and support you to gain insight, work better and focus on what you need to flourish.

The workshops

The programme runs through a series of three group workshops and a free taster session. You will also have the option to sign up for individual coaching sessions to help you build on your workshop learning and consolidate this into actions.

Avoiding overwhelm

How do I deal with feeling overwhelmed? How can I make positive changes to how I manage my time?

Protecting time

What do I want to be spending my time on? What changes could help me carve out protected time?

Strengths

Where can I draw on what I do well? What difference would this make to me? How can I build my confidence?

Programme components

  • Three 1.5 hour workshops, working with your other academics and researchers
  • The option to receive individual coaching sessions, dates to be arranged with your coach.

Learning aims

  • Reconnect with your purpose and what motivates you
  • Build on your core strengths and identify where you want to flourish
  • Identify and begin to enact positive changes that will improve your wellbeing, with support
